Optical elements. Transparent polymeric optical elements.
Our company receives orders for manufacture of transparent polymeric optical elements (lens, prisms, spheric mirrors etc.).
Transparent polymeric optical elements are made by a conventional method of precision machining of the synthesized polymeric material, or by a method of the frontal photo polymerization of pool oligomers (as molecular crystals growth) in the special shapes manufactured of crystal, glass and other optically transparent inorganic materials. Quality of optical surfaces of manufactured polymeric elements matches surface quality of the shape.
We may make optical elements with a maximum linear size up to 200 mm and width up to 30 mm. Manufacture of elements with major geometrical sizes will need time for manufacture of new machinery.
The method of the frontal photopolymerization practically allows eliminating the negative impact of such effects, as heat release and the shrinkage tracking process of polymerization of all known monomers and oligomers that ensures reaching unique properties of the material:
- The birefringence misses;
- Opalescence misses practically;
- Withstands repeated effect of laser light of high intensity (up to 109 W / sm2);
- It stands repeated thermal-cycle trials in a gamut from-100о С до +150о С.
Optically the transparent material represents spatially - a tailored polymeric compound (thermoset). Spectral area of a passage of a material is from 360 up to 1500 nm. An index of refraction of materials is from 1,41 up to 1,53.
Depending on type of used pool oligomers optical elements have different strength properties, even elastic - elastic may be manufactured.
Materials may be both hydrophobic, and hydrophilic (the percent of water regain is controlled). The materials obtained by the method of the frontal photo polymerization, they can be easily handled mechanically. On a surface of polymeric elements different coverage's, including metals may be marked by vacuum deposition. In a combination with a galvanoplastics they may be used as the master - models at manufacture of metal mirrors.
